Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. - The Evergreen State College saw its late season push for a Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball playoff berth come to an end Friday night in an 89-73 loss to the Warner Pacific Knights at Bart Valentine Court.

With the victory, the Knights (11-16 overall, 7-12 CCC) wrap up the eighth-and-final conference postseason tournament spot, while the loss eliminates the Geoducks (7-18, 4-15), who conclude their season tomorrow night at Multnomah.

The Knights got off to a quick start, building a double-digit lead a little more than six minutes into the contest. While the hosts were burning the nets - they were 8-for-12 from three-point range in the first half - the Geoducks struggled from the floor.

After trailing 50-34 at the halftime break, the Geoducks were unable to cut their deficit to less than 15 points throughout the game's remaining 20 minutes.

Jonathan Jack-Nixon led Evergreen in scoring with 10 points and Quinton Whitfield added eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Josh Thomas scored 22 points for the Knights.
