CRC Modernization Steering Committee Charge:The time has come for the Constantino Recreation Center (CRC) modernization project, with the range of work to include addressing building infrastructure, providing space upgrades, giving attention to outdoor spaces, exploring equipment updates, and developing programming funds.
The vast majority of the project’s funding likely will come from student fees, as state support for capital projects not involving academic space no longer is available.
The steering committee is co-chaired by Jeanne Rynne (Director of Facilities) and Matt Newman (Director of Recreation & Athletics), with representation from students, faculty, and staff. Activities of the group will include general project oversight, consideration of design elements and amenities, facilitating conversations among constituent groups, and working with Facilities and College Administration on final decisions for the project.
