The No. 1 team in the NAIA, Oregon Tech defeated the Evergreen State College men's basketball team 89-65 Friday at the Costantino Recreation Center.
Evergreen was led by LaBrandon Price and Gloire Biongo, who both recorded 13 points. Lukas Kelly led on the boards with four.
Oregon Tech was led by Garret Albrecht and Matt Van Tassell, who both had 15 points and Seth Erickson added 14 points. Lachlan McKimm led on the rebounds with nine.
The Owls shot 51.6 percent from the floor to Evergreen's 40.0. OIT out rebounded Evergreen 41-65.
Evergreen scored the first points of the night and the game only had three lead changes until Oregon Tech took the lead and went ahead by 33 in the second half.
The Geoducks are back in action at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday to face No. 17 Southern Oregon at home.
