The Evergreen State College women's basketball team opened Cascade Collegiate Conference play on Friday and fell to Oregon Tech 63-56.

The Geoducks were led by Trinity Betoney, who had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Jerri Maluyo recorded 14 points and Anna Cook added 11.

The Owls were led by Amanda Costant with a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kylie Meadows and Courtney Clemmer both added 10 points apiece.

Evergreen shot 31.6 percent from the floor to Oregon Tech's 45.3 percent. The game was back and forth with 13 lead changes and the game tied three times.

The Geoducks are back in action at home on Saturday against Southern Oregon at 5:30 p.m.
