Multnomah And Men’s Basketball Head To Overtime

Elijah Fuller hit a three at the last second to send the Evergreen State College men's basketball game into overtime against Multnomah. The Geoducks fell 104-98 in overtime on Friday night.

Evergreen was led by Lane Kennedy, who had a career-high 27 points, Fuller added 25 points and Mitch Wetmore recorded 11 points. LaBrandon Price led on the rebounds with eight.

Multnomah was led by Justin Martin, who had 35 points, Trey Fountain had 23 points and Zach Richardson and Jaeden Ingram both recorded 15 points. Ingram recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds and Forrest Smith had 11 rebounds.

Evergreen shot 42.5 percent from the floor to the Lions' 48.1 percent. Evergreen recorded 46 points from the bench and was out rebounded 51-44.

Evergreen was down by as much as 12 points in the second half but came back to tie the game at 75 after Kennedy had a three with 3:55 left in the second half. The Lions took the lead with a three but a three by Wetmore tied the game again.

Points were traded back and forth until the Lions took a 3-point lead with 18 seconds. With three seconds on the clock Fuller hit a three to send the game into overtime.  

In overtime points were traded back and forth until Multnomah took the five-point lead and made its free throws at the end of the game to seal the win.

The Geoducks will be back in action tomorrow night against Warner Pacific at 7:30 p.m.
