The Evergreen State College women's basketball team hit the road for the first time in 2020 and defeated Multnomah 76-54 Friday night in Portland, Ore.
The Geoducks were led by four players with double-digit points. Anna Cook recorded a career-high 22 points and led on the rebounds with nine. Trinity Betoney had 18 points and Angela Sikora and Merrily Jones both had 10 points.
The Lions were led by Dalila Rincan, who had 20 points and Erykah Campbell had a double-double with 13 points and 19 rebounds.
Evergreen shot 37.1 percent from the floor to the Lion's 23.9 percent. Multnomah had 25 turnovers for the game and the Geoducks recorded 25 points off those turnovers. Evergreen had 21 steals. The Lions scored the first points of the game, but the Geoducks had an answer and took the lead and never game it back. Evergreen had its largest lead of 21 points in the final quarter.
The Geoducks are back in action tomorrow at Warner Pacific at 5:30 p.m.
