OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College men's soccer team came back to tie the game and force overtime. The Geoducks fell to Rocky Mountain 3-2 Friday afternoon at the Geoduck Pitch.
Rocky Mountain recorded two goals in the first half, first at 11:05 by Milo Downey on a penalty kick and he recorded his fourth goal this season at 33:44.
Joe DiCarlo scored the first goal for Evergreen at 51:31 with the assist to
Alex Young and
Matthew Jordan. The Geoducks tied up the game at 85:03 after
Alex Young hit the ball off the goal post and
Maxton Hauser followed up and hit it in the net. That was Hauser's third goal on the season.
In overtime, Rocky Mountain took the win at 99:01 by Niklas Kneller as the ball was passed over and Kneller hit in the middle of the net.
Rocky Mountain recorded 26 shots for the match to Evergreen's 10.
Colin Hauser was back in the net for the Geoducks and recorded six saves.
Evergreen is back in action on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. to see Providence at home.
