ASHLAND, Ore. – Host Southern Oregon scored the first nine points of the second half to erase a five-point halftime deficit en route to a 96-84 win over The Evergreen State College men's basketball team.
The Geoducks (3-16, 3-12 CCC) had built a lead as large as seven in the opening half on the strength of 54.5% shooting from the field against the host Raiders.
Austin Curry (pictured) and
LaBrandon Price each scored 23 for the Geodoucks in the loss. Plus,
Michael Brown added 10 off the bench.
The Raiders (13-10, 10-5 CCC) were able to land five players in double figures including Atmar Mundu, who had a team-high 23. He was joined in double figures by Josh Meyer (17), Joe Juhala (14), Tez Allen (13) and K'wan Carter (13).
After shooting 50% from the field in the first half, SOU shot 69.2% (18-for-26) in the second half for the come-from-behind win. The Raiders would eventually stretch the lead in the second 20 minutes to as much as 16.
Next, the Geoducks are home for its next three games as they host Northwest University on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Costantino Recreation Center.
