Olympia, Wash. - Evergreen Women's Basketball won their conference opener against Walla Walla University 53-48. The Geoducks were led by Sydney Vanness with 19 points, and Monique Bungay with 16 points.  

Evergreen led 32-17 going into the half, but Walla Walla battled back in the second half outscoring the Geoducks in the third and fourth quarters, bringing it within five points with 3:43 left on the clock. Some clutch free throws by Vanness and Jayln Sackrider kept Evergreen on top for the win.
