Olympia, Wash. - Evergreen Women's basketball came out on top against Northwest University 65-60. Monique Bungay had 21-points for the game, followed by Jalyn Sackrider with 15-points for the Geoducks.
Evergreen led by as much as 19 points halfway through the third quarter, but the Eagles clawed their way back to get it within three points with four seconds left in the game. Two free throws by Bungay sealed the win for the Geoducks.
"I thought the ladies fought hard ad made the winning plays needed to finish it out." said Evergreen Head Coach, Jackie Robinson. "I'm really proud of the effort tonight."
