CORVALLIS, Ore. – Alauna Carstens was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference's Rize Laboratory Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Oct. 9 – 15, 2023.

Following Alauna Carsten's record-setting performance at the George Oja Invitational where she was the first NAIA finisher as well as setting the new school record in the women's 6k with a time of 21:07.8, the performance was good enough to receive conference recognition for the week.
 
Head coach Joel Pearson applauded her performance with, "I'm very proud of Alauna's performance in the meet and she is well-deserving of the recognition from the conference."
