OLYMPIA, Wash. - In a closely contested and spirited home game, the Evergreen State College Women's Basketball team faced off against the Northwest University Eagles, resulting in a narrow 65 - 68 loss. Despite the final score, the Geoducks showcased fierce determination against a formidable opponent, making Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night a memorable event for the campus community.

The game began with an intense first quarter, where the Geoducks posted 16 points, closely trailing the Eagles who scored 19. The competitive spirit continued into the second quarter, with Evergreen scoring 13 points while Northwest University added 14, keeping the game tightly contested. The third quarter saw a strong offensive effort from Evergreen, as they scored 19 points while limiting the Eagles to just 9. The Geoducks' resilience and strategic play in the third quarter added an extra layer of excitement to the game. Entering the fourth and final quarter, the Geoducks continued to battle, scoring 17 points. However, the Eagles responded with 26 points to secure the narrow victory.
