Returns as a distance runner for the women's track and field team this year ... Won the NAIA Marathon Championship on Dec. 8, 2024 with a time of 2:47:04 (2 hours, 47 minutes, 4 seconds) ...Earned All-America status in the marathon ... Also qualified for the NAIA Marathon in 2023 ... Earned All-America honors at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the spring of 2024 by finishing seventh in the 5,000-meter run ... Took first place in her preliminary heat at the NAIA Championships ... During indoor track and field in 2024, she set school records in the mile run at 5:00.64, the 3,000-meter run in  9:50.34, and the 5,000-meter run in 17:32.64 ... Set outdoor track and field school records in 2024 in the 1,500-meter run at 4:34.92 and the 5,000-meter run in 17:11.81 ... Achieved second place at the CCC Track and Field Championships in the 5,000-meter run in 2024 ... In the fall of 2023, Carstens qualified for the NAIA National Championships in cross country and earned All-America honors with a 15th place finish ... Placed fourth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in cross country in 2023 ... Transferred from St. Martin's University ... Participated in cross country and track at St. Martin's ... Competed at nearby Shelton High School.

Why Evergreen?:  There are lots of trails to explore and I have creativity in what to focus on academically.
