Izabelle Trefts is in her first year as a coach for the Geoducks in cross counry and track and field in 2026-27. She won on the NAIA National Championship in the indoor 3,000-meter race walk in track and field in 2025 in 13:53.46 and repeated as the champion in 2026 with a time of 13:11.95. It was the fastest 3,000-meter women's race walk in NAIA and collegiate history. Trefts placed second in the NAIA outdoor 5,000-meter race walk in 2025, completing the race in 23:22.79. She placed seventh in the nation in the 3,000-meter race walk at the USATF Indoor Championships in 2025.
Also in the spring of 2025, Trefts won the Cascade Collegiate Conference title in the 5,000-meter race walk in 23:55.48 to earn All-Conference honors. She was a scoring runner for Evergreen at the 2025 CCC Cross Country Championships.
Trefts was ranked #1 in 2026 by USA Track & Field in the 3,000-meter indoor race walk. She holds the Evergreen school record and the CCC record in the 3,000-meter indoor race walk. She qualified to compete for Team USA at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Brazil, where she placed 54th in the world. Also in 2026, she earned the second fastest half marathon race walk time in American history. She also competed for Team USA at the Podebrady Walking Meeting in Czechia, helping the team place third. In Czechia, Trefts placed 30th in the half marathon walk.
Trefts transferred to Evergreen prior to the 2024-25 academic year. She the NAIA National Championship in the the indoor 3,000-meter race walk in 2023 prior to transferring to the Geoducks and finished her career with three NAIA indoor race walk titles. She was named Evergreen's Female Athlete of the Year for 2025-26.
She graduated from Old Town High School in Maine. Trefts participated in cross country, track and field, and swimming at Old Town. She won three State Championships in the 1,600-meter race walk.
