Keila Finnestad is entering her first year as an assistant cross country and track and field coach for the Geoducks in 2026-27. She will serve as one of the recruiting coordinators at Evergreen and also will assist with coaching the distance runners.
Finnestad competed collegiately for the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, an NCAA D1 institution in the Ohio Valley Conference. During her time with the Trojans, she competed in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field in the middle-distance events, qualifying for seven conference championships. She will bring her wealth of experience in those events to the Geoducks. Finnestad graduated from Midlothian High School in 2020, where she competed on the varsity cross country and track and field teams for four years. During her time at Midlothian, she served as a team captain and was a two-time cross country state qualifier.
In college, Finnestad earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas-Little Rock in Biology with a minor in Bioinformatics before earning a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She currently resides in Kent with her fiancé.
