Derrick Pringle Jr.

    Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Derrick Pringle Jr. is his first season as an assistant women's basketball coach at The Evergreen State College in 2025-26. He is the son of Evergreen Head Women's Basketball Coach Derrick Pringle. In addition to gameday and practice duties, Derrick Pringle Jr. also will help with scouting and recruiting.

He arrived at Evergreen after serving as the head boys' basketball coach for the Under-17 team at the Rose City Ballers/Puma NXTPRO in Sacramento, California, in 2024-25. He was the head junior varsity boys' basketball coach and an assistant varsity coach for boys' and girls' basketball at University Preparatory in Redding, California, from 2023-25. He also served as the head girls' basketball coach for the Under-17 team with Hustle Prep Basketball in Redding in 2023-24.

At the college level, Pringle Jr. was the head men's basketball coach at Puget Sound Christian College in Everett, Washington, from 2005-07. He served as the assistant athletic director and head women's basketball coach at Simpson University (Calif.) form 2007-21. He was the head women's basketball coach at Bethel College (Kansas) from 2021-23. He worked as an assistant women's basketball coach at California State University Maritime in Vallejo, California, from 2023-25.

He is the all-time leader for women's basketball wins as a head coach at Simpson. He also set a school record by coaching the most All-American players in Simpson history.

Pringle Jr. played basketball at North Seattle Community College for one year, at Puget Sound Christian College for one year, and at Simpson University (Calif.) for one year. In 2004, he was named NCCAA All-American and NCCAA All-West Region.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Puget Sound Christian in 2007. He earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership at Simpson in 2020.
