Jay Glover is in his second season as an assistant men's basketball coach at The Evergreen State College in 2024-25. He assists with all aspects of the men's basketball program.
Prior to joining the Geoducks, Glover was a content writer for Prep Hoops in 2019-20. From 2016-18, he served as the seventh and eighth grade boys' varsity basketball head coach at Tumwater Middle School. He was the boys' C team head coach and lead varsity assistant coach at Clover Park High School from 2006-12. While at Clover Park, he helped the team win the Class 2A Boys' State Tournament in 2010-11 and contributed to the team placing fourth at the State Tournament in 2011-12.
Glover graduated from Western Oregon University in 2003, where he played basketball and received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Business and Physical Education. He earned an Associate in Business degree from Wenatchee Valley Community College in 2000. Glover also competed in basketball at WVCC.
At Wenatchee Valley, he was the NWAC Eastern Region Most Valuable Player in 1999-00, when he averaged 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game while shooting 39% on 3-pointers. He was named to the NWAC All-Tournament Team as WVCC took second place in the 2000 NWAC Basketball Championship.
He was chosen Honorable Mention All-Pac West Confernece in 2000-01 while playing for Western Oregon. He was the WOU Most Valuable Player in 2000-01 and was the Wolves' Defensive Player of the Year in 2000-01 and 2001-02.
In 2000-01, Glover averaged 12.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game at Western Oregon. In 2001-02, he earned 13.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for the Wolves.
