Robert McKinney joined the Evergreen athletics staff as the sports information director in August of 2024. Prior to arriving at Evergreen he was the assistant athletics director, communications at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, for 18 years.
McKinney has worked in sports information throughout his career. He received a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and English Literature from Baker University (Kan.) in 1984 and earned a master's degree in Communication from Pittsburg State University (Kan.) in 1989. He contributed his efforts at several colleges before working at Eastern New Mexico University from 1988-2006 and at Willamette from 2006-2024.
