PORTLAND, Ore. – Madison Early and Maddie Lockwood scored the goals and The Evergreen State College women's soccer team defeated Warner Pacific 2-1 on Saturday.
Early scored the first goal of the game at 9:07 with the assist from Alyssa Nordman. The Knights had an answer at 33:50 when Kendyl Cone scored.
Evergreen would take the lead after Lockwood scored after she received a pass from Katelyn Gose at 40:59. That would be the game-winning goal as the Geoducks got the win.
The Geoducks recorded 10 shots for the game with six on goal. The Knights had eight shots with five on goal.
Alexis Backus was back in the net for Evergreen and recorded the win. She had four saves.
This was a clean-sweep weekend for the Geoducks as Evergreen defeated Multnomah 3-0 on Friday.
Evergreen is back in action at home on Saturday at 1 p.m. to see Northwest.
