EUGENE, Ore. – Northwest Christian opened the game with a 10-0 run and defeated The Evergreen State College men's basketball team 99-75 Friday night.

The Beacons opened the game on 10-0 run that was ended by free throws from Desmond Hudson. NCU went on another 10-2 run and took the lead and never looked back.

Evergreen was led by Lukas Kelly and Mitch Wetmore, who both recorded 15 points. Anthony Grandberry recorded 11 points and Elijah Fuller added 10 points. Hudson led on the rebounds with seven.

Northwest Christian was led by Dyshawn Hobson, who had 18 points, Ernest Ugoagu added 17 points and Stevie Schlabach had 14 points. Kaden Sand and Logan Sand both recorded 11 points. Nico Wolff led on the rebounds with 10.

NCU shot 50 percent from the floor, recorded 52 points from the bench and added seven blocks. Evergreen shot 36.8 percent from the floor and had 12 turnovers.

The Geoducks are back in action on Saturday at Corban at 7:30 p.m. to close out the 2019 year.
