EUGENE, Ore. – The Evergreen State College women basketball team fell to Northwest Christian 87-60 Friday night.

The Geoducks were led by Jerri Maluyo and Cascade Collegiate Conference Red Lion Player of the Week Trinity Betoney, who both recorded 11 kills. Betoney and Merrily Jones both led on the rebounds with six.

The Beacons were led by Morgan McKinney, who had 20 points, Kayce Mock added 19 points and Shanay Dotson and Kaylen Kamelamela both recorded 12 points. Mock led on the rebounds with seven and added seven steals.

Evergreen shot 42.9 percent from the floor to NCU 45.3 percent. The Geoducks had 25 turnovers and 22 steals and the Beacons recorded 18 second-chance points.

The Geoducks will close out the 2019 year at Corban on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
