COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – The Evergreen State College men's soccer team picked up its first win on the season and it was a shutout, as the Geoducks defeated Walla Walla 4-0 on Friday afternoon at the WWU Soccer Complex.
The first goal of the game was scored early, at 2:25 by
Miguel Angel-Bravo and assisted from
Brandon Clough. Angel-Bravo hit the lower right-hand corner of the post. The second goal of the game was scored at 7:10 by Clough and assisted from
Maxton Hauser.
Matthew Jordan scored the third goal of the game at 22:03 and assisted from Clough. Jordan hit the shot off the top right post. The final goal of the game came at 45 minutes by
Andreas Malunat, who drove from the left side and hit the ball into the top right corner of the goal.
Walla Walla recorded 16 shots for the match with nine on goal. Evergreen had 28 shots for the match and 19 on goal.
Colin Hauser was back in the net for Evergreen and picked up his first win in a Geoduck uniform. He had six saves for the match.
Diego Molina was in the net for Walla Walla and had 12 saves.
The Geoducks are back in action on Sunday at Carroll College at 1 p.m. local time. Carroll tied with Northwest 1-1 in double overtime.
