HELENA, Mont. – Joe DiCarlo scored at 53:52 to tie up the game and force double overtime, no team scored in either overtime, and The Evergreen State College men's soccer team and Carroll College tied 1-1 Sunday afternoon.

The Saints were the first to get on the scoreboard at 22:35 by Rory Bloy but Evergreen had the answer at 53:52 by DiCarlo with the assist from Maxton Hauser. That was DiCarlo's third goal on the season and the third assist for Hauser.

Evergreen recorded 17 shots for the match with eight on goal. Carroll recorded 25 shots for the match with 10 on goal.

Colin Hauser was back in the net for the Geoducks and recorded nine saves.                                                                                             

This is the first time the two teams tied since 2015. Evergreen fell in Helena in 2019 with a score of 1-0. Before that, the Geoducks won the previous three matches.

Evergreen is back in action on the road on Friday at 12:30 p.m. against Bushnell and see Corban at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
