COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Zoe Shaw recorded 15 kills on a .407 hitting percentage as The Evergreen State College volleyball team defeated Walla Walla 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-10) Friday afternoon.

Lily Stewart added 10 kills on a .833 hitting percentage and the team hit a .352 for the match and best .600 in the final set. Sage Burgmeier led in the back row with 13 digs and Sierra Wolff recorded 35 assists.

Walla Walla was led by Gabrielle Browning, who had 10 kills and Anja Cole and Meherio Krainer both had 12 assists. The Wolves hit a .244 for the match and best .321 in the second set.

This is the second win in a row for Evergreen, who defeated No. 21, at the time, Southern Oregon 3-0 on the road. The Geoducks are 12-0 against Walla Walla since 2014 and have won 3-0 the last four of five meetings.

Evergreen is back in action at Lewis-Clark State at 5 p.m. on the road on Saturday.
