KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech hit a penalty kick within the last 19 seconds of the men's soccer game to take the 2-1 win over The Evergreen State College on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls were the first to get on the scoreboard at 4:24 by Anthony Santillan and assist from John Sarna.
Evergreen had an answer after a corner kick,
Lucas Alcala passed the ball to
Matthew Jordan who scored at 9:18. That was the third goal on the season for Jordan and the game was tied at one.
Oregon Tech took the win at 89:41 on a penalty kick by Jake Mitchell for his fourth goal on the season.
Colin Hauser was back in the net for the Geoducks and recorded six saves.
Evergreen recorded two shots for the game and both were on goal.
Maxton Hauser had the other shot for the Geoducks. The Owls recorded 30 shots with eight on goal.
Evergreen is back in action on Friday, Sept. 24th against Rocky Mountain at 12:30 p.m. at home.
