OLYMPIA, Wash. - A last-second shot by
Trinity Betoney came up short as host The Evergreen State dropped a 57-55 decision to LC State on Friday night.
Down 56-55, the Warriors' Hannah Broyles made one of two free throws with seven seconds to play. The Geoducks called on Betoney, who missed a chance at the game-winning shot as time expired.

The Warriors (15-3, 9-3 CCC) outlasted the Geoducks for the win. LC regained the lead for the remainder of the contest with 3:30 left to play as Callie Stevens made a layup for a 52-51 lead.

Twice, the Geoducks (5-10, 3-8 CCC) managed to cut the deficit to one on a pair of occasions in the final minutes of the contest.

Evergreen picked up 23 points from Betoney in the loss. It is her sixth-straight game in double figures and one shy of her season-high.
Jalyn Sackrider added a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Geoducks.
In the win, LC was led by a 24-point effort from Stevens, who made five 3 pointers. Plus, Hannah Broyles added 14 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Next, the Geoducks will host Walla Walla University on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Costantino Recreation Center. Evergreen State has won the last 13 meetings against the Wolves.
