KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - A 15-3 run midway through the first half led host Oregon Tech to an 89-66 win over The Evergreen State men's basketball team on Friday night.

The two teams were tied at 13 after the Geoducks'
Michael Brown hit a 3-pointer with 12:43 left in the first half. After nine-straight points by the Owls, Evergreen State got back on the scoring ledger on a 3-point play by
Mikey Hernandez with 10:23 to play in the first 20 minutes. OIT came back with its own 3-point play and managed to lead for the remainder of the contest.

Evergreen State (3-14, 3-10 CCC) was led by a 12-point, 5-rebound effort from
LaBrandon Price. He was joined in double figures by
Austin Curry and
Mitch Wetmore each had 10. Curry handed out five assists to match a season high.

Oregon Tech (15-6, 12-1 CCC) shot 52.2% from the field and were able to land four players in double figures including a pair of 15-point efforts from Matt Van Tassell and Kaison Faust. Kam Osborn and Joey Potts each scored 10 off the bench.

Next, the Geoducks will travel to Ashland, Oregon to face the Raiders of Southern Oregon on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. In the earlier meeting this season, SOU defeated Evergreen State, 103-65 on January 1 in Olympia.
