LA GRANDE, Ore. - Phillip Malatare had a double double (19 pts, 11 reb) to lead host Eastern Oregon to a 74-62 win over The Evergreen State men's basketball team on Friday night.
The Geoducks (3-20, 3-16 CCC) were paced by a 22 point effort from
LaBrandon Price, who knocked down four 3-pointers. He was joined in double figures by
Austin Curry, who added 13 points and five assists in the loss.
The Mountaineers (15-12, 9-10 CCC) were led by the efforts of Malatare, who was joined in double figures by Xavier Lovelace, who added 12 points.
TESC started the game with a 11-4 run for the early advantage. However, EOU ended the first half on a 17-2 run en route to a 38-26 lead at the halftime break. The Mountaineers would go on to lead for the remainder of the game en route to the win.
Next, TESC will travel to Caldwell, Idaho to face the College of Idaho on Saturday at 5 p.m.
