OLYMPIA, Wash. – Visiting Warner Pacific placed five players in double figures en route to a 92-47 win over The Evergreen State College men's basketball team on Friday.
The Geoducks (3-18, 3-14 CCC), who were held to 32.3% shooting, were led by another double double performance from
Austin Curry, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds. He was joined in double figures by
Mitch Wetmore, who had 10 points.
The Knights (13-12, 9-8 CCC) were led by Isaac Etter, who had a game-high 20 points on the strength of five 3-pointers. Thomas Miles (14 pts.), Darius Taylor ()13 pts.), Tyrese Yussuf-Willis (10 pts.) and Colton Gorski (10 pts) were also in double figures. Warner Pacific shot 46.2% from the field and made 11 3-pointers in the win.
With the game tied at 8, the Knights blew the game wide open with a 16-2 run to take a lead for the rest of the game. WPU outscored the Geoducks in a couple key categories for the win. A 29-6 advantage in points off turnovers and a 36-9 advantage in bench points.
Next, Evergreen will host Multnomah on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. at the Costantino Recreation Center.
