PORTLAND, Ore. – After going down 0-2, Evergreen rallied back to take the third set and nearly forced a fifth set but fell short and lost to Multnomah 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 25-17, 26-24).
After dropping the first two sets, TESC (1-11, 1-7) opened the third set with a 7-2 run. The Lions (1-7, 1-7) rallied back to tie up the set and the two teams battled throughout the set until the Geoducks closed out the set with seven straight points.
The momentum began to shift in the favor of Evergreen and they used that momentum to dominate most of the fourth set. TESC found themselves up 23-16 before Multnomah went on a 10-1 run to close out the set and the match.
