PORTLAND, Ore. – The Evergreen Volleyball team notched their second conference win of the season and ended a seven-game losing streak with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-23) win over WPU.
Marin Collins led the way for TESC with 13 kills, followed by
Andee Nelson with 11 kills, 12 digs and two aces.
The Geoducks set the tone early and opened the match with a 6-2 run. The Knights rallied back and the two teams battled through the set until Evergreen pulled away late with an 8-2 run to win the first set.
TESC used their early momentum to open the second set with a 6-1 run. The Geoducks controlled the entire second set and won 25-15.
The final set was the closest but Evergreen grabbed the early lead and never surrendered it on their way to win the final set 25-23 and the match 3-0.
The Geoduck will be back at home next week, hosting Oregon Tech on Friday, September 29
