Unstoppable, Unbreakable: Evergreen Defeats Multnomah

OLYMPIA, Wash. - In a thrilling and hard-fought battle, The Evergreen State College Men's Basketball team faced off against the Multnomah Lions, emerging victorious with a final score of 78 - 72. The Geoducks showcased dominance in the first half, securing a substantial lead that proved instrumental in securing the win.

The first half set the stage for Evergreen's success, with the Geoducks amassing an impressive 47 points while limiting the Lions to 32 points. A remarkable 42.9% of Evergreen's field goals in the first half were shot from beyond the three-point line, showcasing the team's sharpshooting talent and contributing significantly to their lead.

Elijah McLaughlin emerged as a force on the court, delivering an exceptional performance with 28 points during his 35 minutes of play. McLaughlin's accuracy, making 11 out of 17 field goal attempts and 4 out of 9 attempted three-pointers, played a crucial role in Evergreen's dominance in the first-half. Gunnar Harroun added to the formidable offensive display, scoring 10 points in his 25 minutes on the court, making 5 out of 8 attempted field goals. The Geoducks, under the leadership of their new Men's Basketball Head Coach, Cam Swanson, demonstrated remarkable growth and resilience.

The second half saw the Lions attempting a comeback, narrowing the gap and reducing Evergreen's lead. Despite Multnomah's efforts, the Geoducks managed to hold their ground, securing the win with a final score of 78 - 72.
