OLYMPIA, Wash. - In a closely contested game, The Evergreen State College Women's Basketball team faced off against the Multnomah University Lions, showcasing determination and resilience on the court. Despite a strong start, the Geoducks ultimately fell short, with the Lions securing a 76 - 69 victory.

The game opened with Evergreen pressing the attack, establishing a solid offensive presence. The Geoducks displayed their impressive abilities in the first quarter, putting up 17 points, just edging ahead of the Lions who scored 15 points. The momentum continued into the second quarter, with Evergreen extending their lead by scoring 23 points compared to Multnomah's 18 points.

However, the third quarter proved to be a challenging period for Evergreen. The Lions mounted an impressive offensive surge, scoring 27 points, while the Geoducks managed 15 points. The shift in dynamics allowed Multnomah to take control of the game, creating a deficit for Evergreen to overcome in the final quarter. The fourth quarter saw the Geoducks staging a comeback, nearly reclaiming their lead. However, despite scoring 14 points, they fell just short as the Lions put up 16 points, surging ahead in the final minutes to secure the win.
