SALEM, Ore. - A challenging afternoon unfolded for The Evergreen State College's basketball teams as they faced tough competition at Corban University, resulting in defeats for both the Women's and Men's teams. The Women's team fell short with a final score of 60 - 66, and the Men's team faced a larger defeat, losing 65 - 92 against the Warriors.

The Women's Basketball team engaged in a closely contested game against Corban University, with the game remaining competitive until the final minutes. Despite a valiant effort, the Geoducks ultimately faced a 60 - 66 loss. The closeness of the finish underscores the tenacity displayed by Evergreen, highlighting positive growth that can be built upon further in the season.

In the Men's game, the Geoducks started with promise, gaining ground in the first half and showcasing resilience against the Warriors. However, the second half proved to be a challenging period as Corban University surged ahead, creating a larger and larger gap between the scores. Despite the Geoducks' initial efforts, they were overtaken by the Warriors, resulting in a final score of 65 - 92.
