CENTRALIA, Wash. -- The Evergreen State College lost to Southern Oregon University 3-0 on Saturday, Nov. 2 in a Cascade Collegiate Conference women's soccer game at Tigers Stadium. It was Senior Day for the Geoducks, who honored the seniors on the team prior to the kickoff. The game was moved to Tigers Stadium due to wet grounds at Geoduck Pitch in Olympia, Washington.
Southern Oregon held a slim 1-0 lead at halftime after a highly competitive first half. Abby McKean scored the only goal of the half at 24:28 on a shot form 8-yards. The play began with a cross from the left side of the field by Kaylah Bresee. SOU owned a 5-4 advantage in total shots at the break.
The Raiders extended their lead at 51:32 on a goal by Brooklyn Hayes with an assist from Frida Vargas. Hayes shot from 15 yards into the upper left corner of the goal. Vargas tallied SOU's third goal just over four minutes later at 55:36 on a 10-yard shot to the lower left corner. On the play, Bresee earned her second assist of the game.
SOU claimed a 4-3 edge in shots over the final 45 minutes for a 9-7 lead in total shots during the game. Each team finished with four shots on goal.
Iris Campesino (Sr., M) took two shots -- both on target -- for the Geoducks.
Danean Wurlitzer (Sr., M) placed one of her two shots on goal.
Emma Stock (Grad., D) also directed one shot on target. Vargas of SOU recorded two shots, including one shot on goal.

Amity Brookshire (Jr., GK) recorded one save. Ashlynn Hernandez earned three saves and the shutout for the Raiders.
Evergreen completed the season with a 3-10-3 overall record and a 2-8-2 mark in the CCC. Southern Oregon moved to 8-6-2 on the season, 5-5-2 in the CCC.
