KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - In a challenging away game against the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT), the Evergreen State College Men's Basketball team faced a formidable opponent and suffered a loss with a final score of
67 - 94. Despite the setback, individual performances shone through, highlighting the Geoducks' determination and effort on the court.
The first half of the game saw both teams engaged in a competitive battle, with Evergreen scoring 30 points while OIT took the lead with 38. The Geoducks faced a resilient Owls defense but remained within striking distance. In the second half, the Geoducks continued to fight, scoring 37 points. However, OIT showcased a strong offensive performance, adding 56 points to their tally. The second-half challenge proved difficult for Evergreen as they sought to close the gap on the scoreboard.
Despite the final score, the Geoducks gave their best effort on the court, demonstrating resilience and commitment.
Tyler Williford contributed 10 points during his 28 minutes in play, showcasing his shooting accuracy by making 5 out of 9 attempted field goals.
Elijah McLaughlin delivered a solid performance, scoring 12 points during his 21 minutes on the court. McLaughlin's contributions included making 5 out of 10 attempted field goals, sinking 1 out of 4 attempted three-point shots, and connecting on both of his free throws.
