Geoducks Outmaneuver Warner Pacific Knights in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - In a stunning display of skill and determination, the Evergreen State College Women's Basketball team secured an impressive victory on the road, defeating the Warner Pacific Knights with a commanding score of 64 - 44. The win not only highlighted the team's growth throughout the season but also secured their spot in the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

The Geoducks wasted no time establishing their dominance, setting the tone with a strong performance in the first quarter. Evergreen outscored Warner Pacific 21-15, showcasing their offensive prowess. The second quarter saw the Geoducks maintain control, adding 12 points while limiting the Knights to just 6. After a closely contested third quarter, where Evergreen secured 10 points to Warner Pacific's 12, the Geoducks unleashed an explosive final quarter. With 21 points on the board, they sealed the victory while holding the Knights to 11 points.

A standout performance came from Sydney Vanness, who demonstrated exceptional accuracy on the court. Vanness made 8 of her 14 attempted field goals, connected on 3 of 5 attempted three-point shots, and displayed proficiency at the free-throw line, converting all 3 attempts. Her impressive efforts contributed to a total of 22 points during her 33 minutes in play.

Jenna Glenzel also played a crucial role in Evergreen's success, making 3 of their 9 attempted field goals, sinking 1 of 2 attempted three-point shots, and converting all 4 free throws. Glenzel accumulated a total of 11 points during their 35 minutes on the court.

Allison Deberry added to the team's success with a strong performance, making 3 of her 7 attempted field goals, 1 of 4 attempted three-point shots, and 3 of 7 attempted free throws. Deberry contributed 10 points during her 35 minutes in play.
