OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Flor Parker Borrero (Sr.) of The Evergreen State College has been selected as the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Women's Wrestler of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, on Monday, Dec. 1. Parker Borrero earned the award by winning both of her matches by pins this past weekend as the Geoducks defeated Big Bend Community College 23-20 and downed Linfield University 38-5 during the Native American Heritage Duals at the Costantino Recreation Center on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Parker Borrero is ranked #3 in the NAIA women's wrestling rankings for the 145-pound weight class. Against Big Bend CC, she pinned Za'Lane Hulitt 51 seconds into her match at 145 pounds. Parker Borrero moved up to the 160-pound weight class against Linfield, and defeated Karina Yoder by fall at 1:03.

Last year, Parker Borrero earned 22 of her 23 wins, mostly at 160 pounds, by pinning her opponents. She was 23-1 overall and finished third in the 160-pound weight class at the NAIA Women's Wrestling Championships in 2024-25, after placing sixth in the NAIA at 155 pounds in 2023-24. She has been named All-American twice. The Native American Heritage Duals were her first competitions of 2025-26.

During the 2024-25 season, she won the CCC Championship at 160 pounds and was chosen Outstanding Wrestler of the Meet. She has earned All-Conference honors twice. At the NAIA Championships in 2024-25, she received the award for Most Pins in the Fastest Time as she went 5-1 with five wins by falls.

The Geoducks, ranked #15 as a team in the NAIA Women's Wrestling Top 25 Poll, will host CCC rival Southern Oregon University, ranked #11 in the NAIA, on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the CRC. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m. PST.
