OLYMPIA, Wash. —
Bayleigh Harder (Jr., F/C) scored 18 points,
Jenna Glenzel (Sr., G) added 17 points, and both players hauled down nine rebounds, leading The Evergreen State College to a 62-53 victory over Walla Walla University on Senior Night at the Costantino Recreation Center. Evergreen led 48-43 after three periods and remained in front throughout the fourth quarter.

Evergreen picked up its first win of the season and moved to 1-20 overall, 1-17 in the CCC. The Wolves fell to 3-21 overall, 1-17 in the CCC.
Harder's 18 points placed her in double figures for the fifth consecutive game and for the 15th time this season. With 17 points, Glenzel reached double figures for the 17th time this year.
In addition to narrowly missing double-doubles with nine rebounds each, Harder provided five blocks against the Wolves while Glenzel earned three steals. Glenzel tops the CCC and is fourth in the NAIA with 4.1 steals per game. Harder leads the CCC in blocks with 2.6 per game and is tied for fourth in the NAIA.

Also for the Geoducks against Walla Walla,
Sahara Soufi (Jr., G) scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds.
Jesselle Victo Castillo (Jr, PG) supplied four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Brown was credited with four rebounds.
Jaylo Bello topped the Wolves with 24 points and four steals, while Sidney Folkenberg earned 11 points and led WWU with 7 rebounds. Meghan Rasmussen finished with nine points, six boards, and three steals. Maddie Dietrich contributed six boards. Evergreen held the Wolves to 25.8% shooting for the game (16 of 62), including 11.5% from 3-point range (3 of 26). The Geoducks earned a 40-39 rebounding edge.
Evergreen trailed 9-6 with 5:50 left in the first quarter after Bello connected on a 3-point shot for Walla Walla. The Geoducks added a free throw before Bello hit another 3-pointer to give the Wolves a 12-7 edge. Evergreen responded with an 11-0 run, starting with a jumper and a layup by Harder, to take an 18-12 lead with 1:23 to go in the quarter.
The Wolves cut the margin to 18-14 entering the second quarter and pulled as close at 20-18 on a layup by Folkenberg at the 9:13 mark. The Geoducks held a 22-19 lead with 5:08 remaining in the half before going on a 13-2 run to grab a 35-21 advantage with just under a minute to play in the half. Rasmussen scored on a layup and also hit two free throws to cut the lead to 35-25 at the break.
Walla Walla opened the second half with a 14-2 offensive surge that included eight points by Bello, as the Wolves reduced Evergreen's lead to 41-39 with 3:24 left in the third quarter. Later, a traditional three-point play by Rasmussen moved WWU within 44-42 as the clock reached 1:15. The Geoducks tallied four of the final five points in the quarter.
Evergreen expanded its lead to 53-45 on a 3-point basket by Harder with 6:50 to play. The Wolves cut the margin to 55-51 when Ally Haslam sank two free throws with 4:27 left. WWU never got closer over the final few minutes. A 3-pointer by Cepeda gave the Geoducks a 58-51 advantage with 53 seconds on the clock. Dietrich answered with a layup for the Wolves, but Soufi made 4 of 4 free throws for Evergreen in the final 30 seconds.
The Geoducks shot 41.5% on field goals during the game (22 of 53) and connected on 5 of 16 three-pointers (31.3%). Evergreen was 13 for 16 (81.3%) at the free throw line, while Walla Walla put through 18 of 21 free throws (85.7%).
