OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Evergreen State College men's soccer team is back on campus and preparing for the 2026 season. Players returned on Aug. 1 and will see their first action in the Alumni Game on Saturday, Aug. 8. The game will be played at Geoduck Pitch on the Evergreen campus starting at 3 p.m. PDT.

Evergreen's top returning scorers are Cooper Davis (Jr., D) and Kolby Juarez (Sr., M). Cooper earned one goal and one assist last season. Juarez contributed two assists. Goalkeeper Tom Cole (Sr.) played in and started 14 of the team's 15 games in 2025. He earned 67 assists and finished with a 2.38 goals against average. He registered a season-high of eight saves three times for the Geoducks.

Head Coach Steve Schmidt is in his sixth season leading the men's soccer team. He holds a National A-Senior Coaching License through the US Soccer Federation and has a Goalkeeping Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches.
