Kate Green is in her second season as the head women's soccer coach at Evergreen in 2025. Green began her coaching career with the Geoducks as an assistant women's soccer coach. She is a graduate of Evergreen. She brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role.
Green's dedication to the team and her vision for the future are set to inspire and energize the players. She works to help them strive for success on and off the field.
Her coaching experience prior to arriving at Evergreen included four years as the Blackhills Technical Director in Olympia, Washington. She also worked at Washington Premier in Puyallup, Washington, as an ECNL coach for 10 years. Green was the associate head coach of women's soccer at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, for nine years.
In college, Green competed for one season at Seattle University and for three years at Evergreen. She was named First Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference at Evergreen in 2005 and 2008 and was chosen Honorable Mention All-CCC in 2007.
She also competed with the Women's Sounders in 2012 and with Emerald City FC for two years. While playing for Emerald City, she was the leading overall scorer in the SPSL and was chosen SPSL Most Valuable Player. She ws the Emerald City Player of the Year.
"I believe every player is an individual with unique strengths, goals, and growth paths," Green said. "My role as a coach is to challenge each athlete to become comfortable being uncomfortable — pushing limits to grow on and off the field. We strive to develop not only skilled players but outstanding citizens who build strong connections with their teammates and contribute meaningfully to their community."
