Ray Finn is the Assistant Director for Costantino Recreation Center, a position he first started on an interim basis in February 2017, in addition to serving as assistant coach for the Evergreen men’s soccer team.

Hailing from the east coast, Finn spent several years managing operations for a thriving private catering company on the campuses of Rutgers University. Entering the Master’s in Coaching Education program at Ohio University caused a radical lifestyle change for Finn, leading to coaching elite soccer players and teaching high school in New Jersey. He moved to Olympia prior to the 2014 season to become part of the men’s soccer program at Evergreen.

Finn has been part of the Restorative Justice Facilitation team here at Evergreen in recent years, working to help people move past some of the harms that result from various on-campus aggressions and conflicts. Believing in our ability to hear each other where we need to be heard, Finn strives to help people in conflict reach past personal bias and find the common ground where real communication can occur.

Finn graduated from Rutgers University in 1994 with a bachelor of arts in history and from Ohio University in 2012 with a master's degree in coaching education.

He has earned a Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). In addition his multiple roles at Evergreen, Finn serves as head coach of the Oly Town Artesians indoor and outdoor semi-professional soccer teams.
