ASHLAND, Ore. - Southern Oregon shot nearly 65 percent in the second half to pull away from Evergreen on the way to a 106-71 Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball win on Saturday night inside Lithia Motors Pavilion.
The No. 13-ranked Raiders (12-3 overall, 2-2 CCC) led 51-41 at the half before dominating the second half.Â
Dalton Groenewold finished with 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the Geoducks, who also got 12 points off the bench from
Mana Niu and 11 points from
Elijah Fuller.Â
The Geoducks shot 43.9 percent overall, including an impressive 10-for-18 from beyond the three-point line, but couldn't overcome 24 turnovers and Southern Oregon's 38-31 advantage in rebounds.
Jordan Hunt led the Raiders with a double-double, tallying 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The next game for the Geoducks is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Northwest University in Kirkland, and the team returns home on Saturday, Dec. 29, when Northwest Christian visits Costantino Recreation Center.
