Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Hands Northwest 3-0 Loss

After having to move the match to Capital High School, The Evergreen State College men's soccer team took full advantage playing on the turf and defeated Northwest 3-0 on Saturday.

Hunter Bowman was back in the net for Evergreen and recorded the shutout as he had three saves. This was Bowman's second shutout on the season.

Tino Pantaleon had the first goal of the match at 7:57 after he followed his shot that was blocked off the keeper and kicked the ball into the back of the net. That was Pantaleon's third goal on the season.

After going into the half leading 1-0, Joe DiCarlo scored the next goal at 57:23 with the assist from K'Gnausa Yodkerepauprai.

Mitchell Balmer added his goal at 80:46 with the assist from Maxton Hauser. Hauser and Balmer was passing the ball up the field and Hauser kicked the ball over to the middle of the field and Balmer kicked it right into the back of the net.

Evergreen recorded 11 shots for the game with six on goal. Four of the shots on goal came from Pantaleon.

The Eagles recorded 10 shots for the match with three on goal. Alexander Thiehofe was back in the net and recorded three saves.

This was the first win for Evergreen against Northwest in Olympia since 2014 and the first shutout loss handed to the Eagles this season.

The Geoducks are back in action on Friday and Saturday on the road. Evergreen will face College of Idaho at 11 a.m. on Friday and see Eastern Oregon at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
