CALDWELL, Idaho – The Evergreen State College men's soccer team recorded three goals in the first half to shutout College of Idaho 3-0 Friday afternoon. This is the third shutout of the season for the Geoducks and second in a row.
Collin Tate recorded his first goal on the season at 17:44. After a failed clearance from the Yotes, Tate took a 20-yard shot to an open net.
A little more than 20-minutes later,
Maxton Hauser scored a goal at 40:44 after a free long kick by
Carter Stephens. Hauser headed the ball into the net to record his fourth goal on the season.
The final goal of the match came at 42:20 by
Lucas Alcala with the assist from
Parker Vandriel. That was Alcala's second goal this season.
Evergreen recorded eight shots for the match with five on goal. College of Idaho recorded 10 shots for the match with three on goal.
Hunter Bowman was back in the net for Evergreen and recorded three saves and the win.
The Geoducks are back in action on Saturday at Eastern Oregon in La Grande, Ore., at 4 p.m. for the final road match of the regular season.
