OLYMPIA, Wash. – With a tied score, Sunny Bieber scored in the 99th minute as The Evergreen State College women's soccer team defeated Warner Pacific 3-2 Saturday afternoon at the Geoduck Pitch in overtime.

"Once it was going into overtime, we knew we had to dig deep to get just one more goal to end it," said Sunny Bieber, after her game-winning goal in overtime. "I found myself 1 vs 1 in the box and just had to take it to the left and went as far post as I could and found the net in the last 30 second!"

Warner Pacific got on the scoreboard first at 14:12 by Courtney Cutter on a corner kick to angled right into the goal.

Evergreen answered by Madison Spenker, who had the hit to the right side of the net on a free kick at 50:01.

The Knights took the lead back at 60:17 by Maddie Goss on a penalty kick but Spenker had the answer at 68:07 to tie the match with the assist from Julia Hass.

Bieber had the answer after Sam Lindsay served up the ball to Bieber, who dribbled her way toward the goal and hit the back of the net at 99:32.

Evergreen recorded 16 shots for the match to Warner Pacific's 24.

Lucky Backus picked up the win as she recorded 12 saves.

"The resilience to come back a goal down on two separate occasions today speaks volumes to the team's commitment to competing thought he entire match," said head coach Steve Schmidt. "Great second half resolve and three fantastic highlight-worthy goals. And of course, once we get to overtime, we love our goals to be golden!"

Evergreen is back in action in a week to face I-5 rival Northwest at 1 p.m. in Kirkland.
