OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23) Saturday evening to Oregon Tech in the Costantino Recreation Center.
The Geoducks were led by
Zoe Shaw, who had nine kills and nine digs.
Sierra Wolff added 22 assists for the match and
Sage Burgmeier recorded 10 digs.
Hannah Rongen recorded three serving aces for the match and
Olivia Huff had two.
OIT was led by Nicole Reyes, who had 11 kills and Kaylin Talonen recorded 10. Courtney Isom had 34 assists and Aubrey Kievit led in the back row with 17 digs.
Evergreen hit a .049 for the match to the Owl's .245. OIT recorded four ball handling errors for the match and the Geoducks had 22 errors.
"Tonight is another learning opportunity for the team," said head coach
Alexis Garrison. "A match which ended in a failure and can be turned into a success. Congratulations to OIT on a job well done."
Evergreen is back in action at home to see Lewis-Clark State College on Friday at 7 p.m. and will face Walla Walla at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
