OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team fell 0-3 (23-25, 20-25, 20-25) Friday evening to Lewis-Clark State at the Costantino Recreation Center.
Evergreen was led by
Lily Stewart, who had 11 kills and
Zoe Shaw added eight kills.
Sierra Wolff recorded 28 assists for the match and
Sage Burgmeier had 13 digs.
Lewis-Clark State was led by Cassidy Nelson, who had 10 kills and Grecia Ung Enriquez had nine. Hannah Martinez recorded 22 assists for the match and Jeff Ruffing had 17. Kenzie Dean led in the back row with 16 digs and Ruffing added 11 for a double-double.
Evergreen recorded 10 blocks for the match with four solo blocks, while the Warriors only had four. Lewis-Clark State had nine serving aces for the match and recorded 19 errors for a hitting percentage of .243. The Geoducks hit a .180 for the match.
"Congratulations to Lewis-Clark State they fought hard and executed," said head coach
Alexis Garrison. "Tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to prove ourselves."
Evergreen is back in action tomorrow night at 8 p.m. to see Walla Walla. The Wolves fell to Northwest 3-0 earlier this afternoon.
