CALDWELL, Idaho – The Evergreen State College volleyball team fell to The College of Idaho 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-27, 20-25) Saturday evening at the J.A. Albertson Court.
Evergreen was led by
Zoe Shaw, who had 22 kills and
Lily Stewart added 15. Shaw added a double-double with 21 digs and
Sage Burgmeier led in the back row with 25 digs.
Sierra Wolff recorded 43 assists for the match.
The Yotes were led by Danielle Neuman, who had 17 kills on a .424 hitting percentage and Austyn Mauzy added 15 kills. Sidney Frith recorded 32 assists and Sydnee Steel had 24 assists and 11 digs for a double-double. Isabelle Combs led in the back row with 19 digs.
The Geoducks hit a .184 for the match to the College of Idaho's .250 as it took extra points in sets one and three for the match. Evergreen had 26 errors for the match to College of Idaho's 23 attacking errors.
Evergreen split with College of Idaho in 2019 with the Geoducks falling in 2019 on the road and winning at home. That win at home, ended a 33-match winning streak that College of Idaho had on Evergreen.
The Geoducks are back in action on Friday and Saturday on the road in Oregon. Evergreen will face Warner Pacific on Friday at 7 p.m. and see Multnomah on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Geoducks were scheduled to play Saint Martin's at home on Tuesday, but that match was cancelled.
