PORTLAND, Ore. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team defeated Warner Pacific 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) Friday evening at C.C. Perry Gym.
Evergreen was led by
Zoe Shaw, who had 13 kills on a .423 hitting percentage. She had a double-double with 14 digs.
Sage Burgmeier led in the back row with 18 digs.
Sierra Wolff recorded 29 assists for the match.
Warner Pacific was led by Tevlin Britten, who had 14 kills and Grace Buchanan added 12. Matalasi Laban had 26 assists for the match and led in the back row with 12 digs.
The Geoducks hit a .238 for the match to WPU's .109. Warner Pacific recorded 18 attack errors and eight serving errors for the match. Evergreen hit a best .361 in the second set. The Geoducks recorded nine blocks for the match.
Since 2013, Evergreen is 10-5 against Warner Pacific including winning the last three match in three sets. The Geoducks defeated Warner Pacific earlier this season at home 3-0 for the sweep.
Evergreen is back in action tomorrow night at 5 p.m. at Multnomah. The Geoducks defeated the Lions 3-1 earlier this season at home and Multnomah fell to Northwest 3-0 tonight.
